Ingredients Needed:
boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small cubes (1.5 lbs)
honey (3 tablespoons)
low-sodium soy sauce (3 tablespoons)
garlic, minced (3 cloves)
red pepper flakes, optional (1/4 teaspoon)
brown or white rice, for serving, optional
green onions, sliced, for serving, optional
sesame seeds, for serving, optional
peanuts, chopped, for serving, optional
lime wedges, for serving, optional
Pantry staples: salt, pepper, olive oil
Tips:
Thicken the Sauce - Whisk 1 to 3 teaspoons of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and stir it into the pan during the final 2 minutes of cooking. Doubling the sauce is also a great option if your family loves extra for drizzling.
Serving Ideas - Pair with steamed rice and a fresh vegetable for a complete dinner, or serve over quinoa, cauliflower rice, or thin noodles.
Storage and Reheating - Keep leftovers with their sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat gently in a skillet on the stove or in the microwave until thoroughly warmed.
